Pentland Conservation LLC: who are we
Who we are:
Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Elaine Miller has been practicing conservation and restoration in the Dallas area for fifteen years. After receiving her Bachelors of Fine Art degree she went on to train and work with a private conservation firm performing and honing her skills in ceramics, glass, lacquerware and natural materials. In 1998 she was awarded Professional Associate Member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC).
She has also maintained membership with the United Kingdom Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (UKIC, now part of the Institute Of Conservation
ICON ),
the International Institute for Conservation (IIC),
and is a member of the
Society Of Guilders
She continues to attend workshops and meetings to increase her knowledge with the emergence of new methods and materials.

In 2006 she married David Grant, originally from Glasgow, Scotland. He is an Electronics Design Engineer for Texas Instruments, he is also Pentland Conservation’s chief administrator and web engineer.
All work is overseen by two greyhounds and four cats
